WELCOME TO ACKWORTH GIRLS FC

Ackworth Girls FC were established in 2019 to provide footballing opportunities exclusively for females in the area and have already seen us grow to be one of the biggest all female football clubs in the area.

We have teams available for players of all ages with a dedicated Wildcats section for beginner girls from 4 years old along with an Open age ladies team, giving the girls a complete footballing pathway.

As a Charter Standard club we provide age related coaching to aid development in a friendly, safe environment along with pathways into football through our commitment to developing stars of the future whilst offering access to FA coaching & refereeing qualifications to our volunteers.

Ackworth Girls FC are also proud to be a ‘Kick It Out Equality Charter Club’.

Unlike most teams in the area, Ackworth Girls FC are unattached to a male football club and therefore all monies raised through sponsorships, subs & donations are reinvested directly back into the girls game to continue to provide opportunities and experiences for all our members.

From the moment they pull on their first pair of boots, to competing at senior level, we provide the opportunity for you to be there every step of the way…

There are very few all female sports clubs around the local area that offer opportunities for females of all ages to get involved in being active whilst offering career pathways and personal development through the means of sport.

Our club ethos ensures our members have a sense of belonging by being part of a team and a great community organisation offering opportunity to all.

If they believe, they will achieve.

VOLUNTEERS

As with many grassroots clubs, our club wouldn’t exist without its team of volunteers. The people who dedicate their time to not only support their children but to help out the club to ensure every other child is supported too whether it be on the front line or behind the scenes.

All our coaching staff are qualified and hold valid DBS and First Aid certification.

Assistants also hold full DBS certification, along with our Tuck Shop Dream Team, leaving you safe in the knowledge that we have our members interests at the forefront of our mind.

All volunteers with a valid DBS are issued a purple shirt to give visibility for our members.
