CUP FINALS

Ackworth Girls FC are proud to have been chosen to host the West Riding Girls League Cup & Shield finals for the past 2 seasons which has seen a total of over 50 participating teams descend on our village to contest their respective final.
2019/20 Season finals were a huge challenge for both the club & league given the outbreak of the Covid pandemic however we were able to successfully and safely accommodate and deliver the finals which brought the season to an exciting close with some great football and talent on show.
The club are honoured to be able to showcase the finals each season and continue to look forward to welcoming the league cup and shield finalists for many years to come.

LOW ACKWORTH FREE LIBRARY

During the first lockdown, Ackworth Girls FC learned of 2 young brothers who had the great idea of providing a free library where people could exchange books on their daily walks to help alleviate the boredom of being furloughed/stuck at home. The books were being stored in plastic storage boxes which had suffered with weathering. Ackworth Girls FC were delighted to be able to provide a large outdoor garden storage box so the books could be housed more securely and out of the rain and cold weather to continue providing a fantastic service to the neighbourhood. Well done boys!
